About The Position

The Lead CNC HBM Machinist Night Shift at Flexicrew Technical Services is responsible for supervising the night shift machinists, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. This role involves performing various machining practices while maintaining close tolerances on components from diverse industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Fanuc Controls and be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in CNC milling machines.
• Strong leadership skills to direct and guide others.
• Solid machining background with thorough knowledge of reading drawings.
• Ability to use standard precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and troubleshoot issues.
• High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.

Nice To Haves

• Cogsdil contouring head experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, instruct, and direct personnel on the night shift.
• Manage daily time and attendance of machinists.
• Operate and program machine tools following training and safety procedures.
• Read blueprints or job orders to obtain product specifications and tooling instructions.
• Position and secure workpieces using clamps and wrenches.
• Set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut according to product specifications.
• Read and comprehend complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Set up and operate a full range of conventional machine shop equipment.
• Observe operations and verify conformance of machined workpieces using measuring instruments.
• Perform daily checks and maintenance on machines.
• Work to close tolerances and select appropriate speeds, feeds, and tools for varying conditions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area and follow safety policies.
