About The Position

The CNC HBM Machinist - 2nd Shift will perform a variety of finish machining practices involved with drilling, threading (tap & thread mill), boring, etc, while maintaining close tolerances on a wide variety of components from various industries. The ideal candidate needs to be fluent with Fanuc Controls (Tosnuc) including A+ experience with cogsdill contouring heads and the use of right-angle heads. The candidate must be able to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, read and understand programs, all to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements. Must have basic hand & measuring tools, indicators, etc.

5 plus years on Machinist experience and knowledge.
High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs. (50 lbs. with assistance), walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance.
Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage.
Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
This position can be required to participate in the company random or customer specific drug and alcohol screening and background check.
Able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Perform finish machining operations including drilling, threading (tap & thread mill), and boring while maintaining close tolerances.
Operate CNC Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM) with proficiency, specifically using Fanuc Controls (Tosnuc).
Utilize Cogsdill contouring heads and right-angle heads effectively during machining processes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
Understand and verify CNC programs to ensure compliance with specifications and machining requirements.
Conduct in-process inspection using basic hand and measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and indicators.
Ensure all machined components meet quality and specification standards across various industry applications.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to company safety policies.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of jobs.
Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine operation and finished part quality.
