About The Position

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Set-up and Operate CNC grinders. Perform all basic grinding required within the shop conforming to all specifications. Math and shop related knowledge a must.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years CNC grinding experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts using decimals.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and run any parts on CNC ID cylindrical grinders
• Inspect 1st pc and own work to meet standards
• Operate precision gauging
• Follow safety standards and procedures
• Can operate with little or no supervision
• Follow proper work instructions
