Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry with knowledge of speeds and feeds
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, concentrate for long periods of time
  • Great work ethics
  • Properly uses basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.)
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity

Nice To Haves

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS applications 
  • Strong skills and aptitude in math
  • Completion of vocational or college training in machine shop (Certificate of completion of basic machining course)

Responsibilities

  • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, CA location.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and informs lead person of discrepancies.
  • Follow requirements on blue prints and work orders this includes but not limited to Lapping parts.
  • Thoroughly inspect first part run
  • Complete assigned tasks within required timeframes, with minimal supervision
  • Recognize production problems and inform supervisor
  • Understanding of basic machine language
  • Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools
  • Read and interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings
  • Perform miscellaneous duties in the machine shop as directed 
  • Follow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
