Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry with knowledge of speeds and feeds
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, concentrate for long periods of time
- Great work ethics
- Properly uses basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.)
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity
Nice To Haves
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience with MS applications
- Strong skills and aptitude in math
- Completion of vocational or college training in machine shop (Certificate of completion of basic machining course)
Responsibilities
- Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, CA location.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and informs lead person of discrepancies.
- Follow requirements on blue prints and work orders this includes but not limited to Lapping parts.
- Thoroughly inspect first part run
- Complete assigned tasks within required timeframes, with minimal supervision
- Recognize production problems and inform supervisor
- Understanding of basic machine language
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools
- Read and interpret manufacturing and engineering drawings
- Perform miscellaneous duties in the machine shop as directed
- Follow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned.
