About The Position
Eaton's AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a CNC Gear Tooth & Spline Milling Machinist based in Euclid, Ohio. This position is integral to the manufacturing process of Aerospace Fuel Pumping components, systems, and services, catering to both the global aftermarket and OEM markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various gear tooth and spline generating machines to produce internal and external gear and spline configurations with precision tolerances. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the workplace. The CNC Gear Tooth & Spline Milling Machinist will perform visual and dimensional inspections, ensuring that all parts meet the required specifications in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the certified operator program. The position also involves assisting other operators with proper operational procedures and performing housekeeping duties as assigned by the foreman. The machinist will engage in sub-assembly work and will be responsible for setting up machines, which includes balancing and securing wheels, dressing forms, and maintaining dimensional relationships using various dressing attachments. In addition to operating manual and CNC hobbers, shapers, and vertical broaching machines, the machinist will cut intricate contours, volutes, and splines, and broach internal contours. The role requires analyzing and making necessary adjustments based on feedback from gear checking equipment, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and lot control for traceability. The machinist will also be responsible for minor machine maintenance and may be required to perform multiple operations simultaneously as directed by the foreman. This position offers an hourly rate of $33.62 and is part of a facility with approximately 300 employees, emphasizing a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
