We have 2nd shift openings. Typical 2nd shift hours are Monday through Friday 4:20 pm-2:50 am. In this position, you will be performing a variety of part-finishing operations such as deburring, polishing, assembling, and testing finished goods as an integral part of our team. This position has planned/expected career growth and advancement into machinist positions for qualified applicants. Acme offers some scheduling flexibility, but candidates are expected to work overtime, including weekends during peak production times. This position offers a hire-on-bonus.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate has CNC job shop or machining facility experience.
  • Many candidates have minimal, if any experience but are looking for a start to a career.
  • Read and interpret work instructions.
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
  • Ability to utilize hand tools, operate overhead cranes, and powered pallet jack. At times it is necessary to lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
  • Demonstrated work history.
  • Should be able to read and write English.
  • Strong work ethic and employability skills.
  • Desire to grow and learn.

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate has forklift experience, but training is also available.

Responsibilities

  • Follow written instructions.
  • Perform a variety of operations to remove burrs/sharp edges.
  • Clean machined surfaces on parts.
  • Polish, grind, or buff production parts.
  • Package parts according to customers' needs on skids or in boxes.
  • Perform final assembly, leak test, and touch-up paint.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
