About The Position

Your mission:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with expertise in CNC machinery to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing CNC machines at customer sites across the Chicago area and the U.S. West Coast. You’ll be the face of our company in the field, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal machine performance.   What you will be doing:•    Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machines and automation systems on-site across West Coast in a timely and efficient manner.•    Install, commission, and test CNC machines and associated automation equipment at customer facilities.•    Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.•    Conduct machine demonstrations and provide technical expertise during customer visits.•    Accurately document all service activities, including parts used, labor time, and any technical issues encountered.•    Provide remote and telephone support to customers for troubleshooting and technical guidance. Your profile:•    min. 3-5 years experience as a Field Service Engineer/Technician in the CNC or machine tool industry.•    Strong skills in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and CNC issues.•    Solid CNC milling knowledge; Heidenhain experience is a plus.•    Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.•    Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel up to 75% domestically. Requirements
