About The Position

A growing manufacturing and precision fabrication company in Marion is seeking a skilled CNC / Fabrication Machine Operator to support daily production across various machining and forming operations. This is a hands-on role working with modern CNC equipment in a clean, organized shop environment. Candidates with experience in CNC machining, press brake forming, laser cutting, or similar metal fabrication processes are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Experience operating CNC machinery in fabrication or machining (mill, lathe, press brake, or fiber laser experience all considered)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and verify dimensions
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine setup
Familiarity with measurement tools and tolerance requirements
Ability to stand for the shift and lift materials as needed
Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC production equipment such as mills, lathes, press brakes, or laser cutting machines
Load raw materials, install tooling, check machine readiness, and verify job specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, bend instructions, and work orders
Make basic machine adjustments or minor program edits to maintain accuracy and part quality
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and other precision measurement tools
Monitor production runs to ensure consistency and adherence to required tolerances
Troubleshoot minor equipment or tooling issues to keep operations running smoothly
Record production information and maintain organized, accurate job documentation
Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area
