About The Position

The CNC Equipment Technician at Steelhead Metal Corp is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tool equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to effectively resolve issues with both electrical and mechanical components. The technician will also promote preventative maintenance and provide technical support and training to operators, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery in a precision manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with mechanical/electrical repair of CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Excellent technical and communication skills.
• Strong recordkeeping and organizational skills for tracking maintenance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other business programs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with air compressors, press brakes, and lasers.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all CNC machine tool equipment.
• Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal resources to research machine issues.
• Complete and submit documentation regarding the status of machine issues, repairs, and installations.
• Promote and perform preventative maintenance and calibration on machine tool equipment.
• Conduct technical support and training to operators.
