Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, manuals and schematics for hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical systems and PLC programs
  • Ability to use testing equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, meggers, multimeters, ball bars or laser alignment tools
  • Ability to perform tasks conforming to all safety regulations and procedures, such as LOTO, confined space, hot work permits and NFPA 70E

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and modify, as assigned, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic control systems for CNC machine tools, manufacturing processes, test equipment and other associated equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting when problems arise in these areas, including those that may result from programming, tooling, set-up, instrumentation, calibration and other errors.
  • Install, maintain, repair, calibrate, modify, and rebuild CNC machine tools and related equipment
  • Partner with operators/support teams to validate repairs and confirm proper machine operation
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and manuals for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC and conventional machines; implement required modifications and updates
  • Update and maintain equipment documentation after service and changes
  • Follow all safety procedures (LOTO, confined space, fall protection, hot work, NFPA 70E, etc.) and maintain a clean, orderly work area
  • Use advanced test and measurement tools (oscilloscope, VOM/multimeter, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, ball bar, laser alignment tools, electronic levels)
