About The Position

The CNC/Cell Leader is responsible for producing machined parts by operating CNC machines, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This role involves monitoring machine performance, performing preventative maintenance, and documenting production and quality metrics. The position requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; preferred Associate degree in CNC machine programming or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with CNC machines (horizontal/vertical & lathes).
• Ability to perform offset adjustments and change tools as needed.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
• Understanding of safety protocols and regulations for operating CNC machines.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with safety compliance to ensure adherence to OSHA requirements and IATF Standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce machined parts according to specifications.
• Read and understand Picture Process Map (PPM) work instructions and quality inspection sheets.
• Document all actions by completing production and quality paperwork.
• Identify and report casting, trimming, and machining defects to ensure defective products are not passed.
• Maintain optimal machine output to meet production deadlines.
• Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines and associated equipment.
• Maintain communication among work shifts regarding irregularities and ongoing needs.
• Apply quality measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.
