The position involves setting up and operating a CNC Press Brake. The operator will read blueprints or job orders to understand specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, as well as tooling instructions. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and the sequence of operations. The operator will also verify the in-process and final conformance of work-pieces to specifications using measuring equipment such as tape measures, angle gauges, and go/no-go gauges. The operator is expected to perform first-run setups unassisted and within acceptable time limits, select the proper tools, equipment, and materials, and complete production and quality paperwork as needed. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
