We are seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician willing to learn. Summary of Responsibility: Our Applications Engineers are bringing expertise in the newest technology in machines, cutting tools, and programming software. We need your validated experience to bring innovative ideas to our customers. Morris is looking for the brightest machinists and programmers to offer the best training, problem solving, customer support and solutions that are unmatched by our competitors. What You Will Contribute: Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposals · Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications · Programming and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills, and Swiss style lathes · Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines · Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company

Requirements

• Strong hands-on machining background with at least 3 years of experience with CNC machines
• Proven solid understanding of CAD/CAM software is vital
• Excellent customer service and effective interpersonal skills required
• Frequent travel throughout our regional territory
• Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises.
• Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
• Ability to sit for prolonged period of times.
• Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
• Ability to frequently use hands and arms.
• Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to keep their composure with the public and co-workers in everyday, stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience on Swiss and Okuma controls is a plus
• MasterCam, Esprit and Solidworks experience is a plus

Responsibilities
