About The Position

Polamer Precision is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and team-oriented CNC 5 Axis/Mazak Machinist. The position involves operating CNC Vertical and/or Horizontal Milling machines, including 3, 4, and 5-axis machines. Responsibilities include setting up and running machines for production and new development work, inspecting parts to drawing requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, reporting needed repairs, reviewing setup sheets and specifications, and reading and understanding blueprints. Advanced math knowledge is required, and other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

• Possess five (5) or more years’ experience in aerospace industry, operating and set up knowledge of standard CNC controllers
• Knowledgeable of milling machining technology
• Understanding of mechanical principles
• Proficient in shop mathematics
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must read, write, and speak English
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Operating CNC Vertical and/or Horizontal Milling machines, 3, 4 & 5-axis
• Setup and run machines for production and new development work
• Inspecting parts to drawings requirements
• Troubleshooting malfunctions when necessary
• Reporting needed repairs
• Review setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedures
• Read and understand blueprints
• Perform other duties as assigned
