About The Position

If you are a certified CNA or HHA, you are what we at RISE UP HOMECARE need as soon as possible. We're getting several new clients a week and we need to hire. If you have caregiving experience but do not yet have an HHA certificate, our staff nurse can train and certify you. One of our biggest current needs is caregivers able to fill longer shifts -- both DAY shifts (such as 7a - 7p or 8a - 8p) and OVERNIGHT (7p - 7a or 8p - 8a). Some of our shifts are in the client's home, some are in assisted living facilities. They can range from: serving as a companion (monitoring their condition, helping with meal prep, light housekeeping, etc.) ... to providing assistance with mobility and personal tasks such as bathing, dressing and incontinence care. We are different from other caregiving agencies in one very important way -- all of our office staff are caregivers. We know both the difficulties and the rewards of the job -- so we make every effort to find shifts matching your preferences and available days/times. We believe that if our caregivers are happy, our clients are going to be happy ... and our caregivers are going to stay with us.

Requirements

Prior experience in caregiving preferred.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with clients and their families.
Dependability in getting to shifts on time with few call outs.
Valid driver's license and a vehicle with current registration and insurance always available.
