About The Position

Ensures resident hygiene daily Makes all types of beds Takes and records vital signs accurately within the shift Keeps correct intake/output when indicated Distributes trays and feeds residents as needed Alters residents position every 2 hours within shift Answers call lights immediately Responds in a positive manner to direction, supervision and evaluation of performance Establishes priorities and organizes work within shift Completes assignments within the shift Gives accurate report of care provided and resident’s response to nurse Demonstrates patience and tact in dealing with residents, their families and personnel Assists residents in/out of beds, chairs or wheelchairs within the shift Demonstrates good body mechanics Demonstrates awareness of hazards Keeps assigned room orderly for safe resident environment Participates in self-development programs Assists in orienting new personnel as requested Assists with post-mortem care Documents competency in clinical skills at least annually Provides for oral hygiene for residents as ordered Gives complete/Partial bath daily

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Current CNA certification in Georgia or letter of acceptance from an approved school. Must be certified at completion of course.
  • Six (6) months experience preferred but not required.

  • Demonstrates awareness of hazards
  • Keeps assigned room orderly for safe resident environment
  • Participates in self-development programs
