About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) , you'll be a vital part of our compassionate team, working closely with our residents and helping them maintain their independence while receiving the care they deserve. As a CNA in our retirement community, your role is to provide hands-on care to our residents and ensure they feel safe, valued, and supported throughout the day. Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting residents with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a CNA Program
  • Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
  • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • Take pride in providing high quality care
  • Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to clients)

Responsibilities

  • Assist elderly residents or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents with their daily activities, like getting dressed, bathing/showering, grooming, and eating.
  • Help residents take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
  • Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring residents are comfortable and safe.
  • Offer a friendly, comforting presence during meals, and assist residents with eating when needed.
  • Plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
  • Complete resident’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
