About The Position

CHI Health Nebraska Heart delivers leading-edge services to Nebraska and northern Kansas through a network of offices and affiliated hospital-based clinics, enabling patients to receive timely care close to home. As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction. Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being. Requirements

  • Successfully completed the 75-hour state approved course for Nursing Assistant if hired into the Nursing Assistant position after April 30, 1998
  • Certified Nursing Assistant: NE, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate basic care
  • Assist with patient transport
  • Actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team
  • Uphold the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being
  • Participate in the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, and evaluate) under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN
  • Contribute to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer
  • Contribute to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Document cares provided in the healthcare consumer’s record
