The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists in all aspects of clinic operations within the scope of practice and promotes client/resident comfort and confidence by performing various personal care and support services. The CNA observes clients/residents, reports and records observations, and documents services provided. Key responsibilities include providing courteous, professional, and efficient customer service, delivering personal care according to the care plan (e.g., bathing, oral hygiene, assisting with feeding, ambulation, dressing, skin care, toileting, maintaining living area, obtaining weights, accompanying to appointments), documenting care in the electronic health record, and planning/preparing nutritious meals (Home Care only). The role also involves protecting residents' rights by maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA, triaging requests with Nurse Supervisor or Physician, maintaining a safe work environment, supporting the organization's mission, and promoting exceptional customer service through the Salemtowne Shines program.
