Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant - PRN(on-call) GENERAL SUMMARY : The Nurses Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. Requirements

• Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
• Registration with State registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to document care given.
• Wears appropriate non-slip footwear.
• Compliance with Vantage Point COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is required for this position. Please refer to the policy for details in the Employee Handbook.

Nice To Haves

• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
• Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
• Enters data daily into ADL book or inputs EMR Documentation into Vision.
• Performs full body inspection weekly and notifies Charge Nurse of any altered skin status.
• Assures that resident is adequately hydrated to maintain health status.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
