About The Position
Are you looking for a full-time day position? We're looking for someone who wants to make a difference in people's lives at the Trinity Center at Luther Park Community! Since 1914, Luther Park Community has provided quality services for mature Iowans by meeting their physical, spiritual, social, and psychological needs in its beautifully landscaped community in Des Moines. Trinity Center is a 120-bed Health Center which specializes in Alzheimer's care as well as skilled and long-term care. As a non-profit, we are able to put our resources into providing better service, care and housing for our residents. CNAs are responsible for providing personal care and assistance of our residents as directed by the unit charge nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or designee.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to fluently read, write and comprehend English
- Satisfactory completion of the 75 hour nursing assistant course required
- Certified nursing assistant certificate required
- Valid and current on the Iowa Nurse Aide Registry through the Department of Inspection and Appeals
- A background check, physical, drug screen and TB test are required
Responsibilities
- CNAs will be responsible for helping residents with their personal hygiene including assistance with dressing, grooming, going to the bathroom, feeding and baths/showers.
- CNAs are responsible for observing and reporting changes in residents’ physical and emotional conditions to the unit charge nurse.
