Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing, personal care, and assistance to residents
• Assists with transporting residents to and from the dining area
• Assists residents with toileting, changing, and bathroom privileges
• Turns residents confined in bed and assists with bed-making
• Assists with maintenance and storage of residents' clothing and belongings and cleanliness of the environment
• Takes and records residents' vital signs
• Cleans a variety of equipment
• Carries out proper cleansing and PPE with care for residents
• Empties soiled laundry bins and trash cans
• Performs range of motion
• Assists resident with feeding and monitors food and liquid intake for nutritional status
• Informs charge nurse of changes in residents' condition
• Provides post-mortem care
• Documents all care and notifies nurse of any refusals of care or change in resident's condition
• Performs other work as required
