About The Position

Job Qualifications Education/Training: 1. Satisfactory completion of the approved Indiana State Board of Health, 105 Hour Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent. Certification for Nurse Aide must be active and in good standing with the Registry and must be maintained in accordance with ISDH requirements. Experience: 1. One year experience in a long-term care facility or health care setting preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Ability to communicate effectively in English. 2. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures. 3. Strong interpersonal skills. 4. Understanding of the needs and concerns of the elderly; ability to patiently deal with combative/hostile residents. 5. Basic computer experience preferred.
