Provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse within the CNA scope of practice. Performs clerical duties within the department or patient care team as assigned. The Intensive Care Unit provides direct care or influences care for acutely/critically ill patients who are at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening health problems. The ICU provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that provides intensive monitoring, assessments, and interventions.
