About The Position

Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and Level I Trauma Center with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics. The nursing assistant provides patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Access to all Patient Health Information is for treatment purposes only.

Requirements

• Must have a valid nursing assistant certification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with daily living activities for patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
