About The Position

Aegis Therapies, one of the nation’s leading providers of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our supportive team and reap the benefits of some of the best career advantages in the industry. As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. You will receive full restorative training provided onsite, and no restorative experience is necessary (CNA Certification Required). Your role will involve assisting in the restorative care of patients as directed, with exclusive restorative responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care, while having limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy.
• Work exclusively with the therapy team to provide wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
