The CNA Program Coordinator II/Instructor is a vital role within the EDIWS Health Care Program at Monroe Community College, responsible for overseeing the educational experience of students in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings. This position requires a valid New York State RN License and entails managing day-to-day operations, providing instruction, and ensuring a comprehensive clinical experience for students. The coordinator/instructor will work closely with the lead program coordinator/instructor to fulfill the program's needs, which may include flexible work hours to accommodate various scheduling requirements. In this role, the instructor will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the subject matter, teach courses, and evaluate student performance according to the guidelines established by the department, the college, and New York State regulations. The coordinator will also be responsible for selecting clinical assignments for students in collaboration with healthcare facilities, supervising students during class, lab, and clinical sessions, and maintaining professional relationships with clinical faculty. Additionally, the instructor will facilitate all operational aspects of the practical nurse classroom or clinical environment, including instruction, assessments, and attendance tracking. The position emphasizes the importance of staying current in nursing practices and actively participating in professional development. The instructor is expected to adhere to the College Code of Conduct, contribute to an equitable and inclusive college environment, and maintain the technological competencies required by the college.
