About The Position

Job Summary Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality, direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Essential Functions Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit. Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding. Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines. Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel. Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours. Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
  • CRT-Nursing Assistant - LARA-BCHS Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Continuing Care RNCs 90 Days
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Continuing Care RNCs 90 Days
  • Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Continuing Care RNCs 90 Days
