About The Position

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) is responsible for providing safe and basic care to patients, which includes taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and observing patients for any physical or emotional changes. The role involves recording information in patient charts and communicating with the Patient Care Team to ensure continuity of care. The position may also require constant supervision of patients as needed, with duties varying based on departmental expectations.

Requirements

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant certification.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
• 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate safe basic care to patients.
• Take vital signs and assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Collect specimens and observe patients for physical/emotional changes.
• Record pertinent information in patient charts.
• Communicate with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care.
