About The Position
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Harborview Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in providing both direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and diverse environment, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring a safe environment, and preparing patients for surgery. You will also perform non-invasive lab procedures, take vital signs, and assist with various clerical tasks, all while maintaining a compassionate and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families. The role offers multiple opportunities across various units within Harborview Medical Center, including the FLEX UNIT, FLOAT POOL, and specialized units such as the MEDICINE/SURGICAL/TELEMETRY UNIT and TRAUMA/ORTHOPEDICS UNIT. Each unit presents unique challenges and learning opportunities, allowing you to expand your skills and experience in different areas of patient care. The position requires a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as you will work closely with a multidisciplinary care team to provide high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs.
