$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview Medical Center - Emergency Department has an outstanding job opportunity for a CNA / Patient Care Technician position. WORK SCHEDULE 90% FTE (36 hours per week) Night Shift PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care Transportation of patients, supplies, and specimens Ordering and stocking of supplies Maintain / set up of special equipment Participate in unit and selected departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication This position provides opportunities to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine. Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year experience as ED Tech or CNA in an Inpatient Hospital Acute Care or ICU settings
- High School graduation AND six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
- Must have a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (Please include your Washington State NAC license on your resume.)
- Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire

Benefits

- Night: $2.25/hour
- Weekend: $1.50/hour
