About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated CNA / Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care in a long-term care setting. The role focuses on supporting residents with daily activities, ensuring comfort and safety, and assisting nursing staff in delivering quality care.
Requirements
- Active New York CNA License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a high patient ratio environment (1:18–20)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care or similar settings
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC)
- Experience in large healthcare facilities
Responsibilities
- Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety
- Assist nursing staff with routine care
- Support therapy and rehabilitation activities
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Float between units as needed
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and equipment
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families
- Provide compassionate customer service
- Report concerns promptly
