About The Position

We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAR) to support our TCU/LTC residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility- Jones Harrison. This role provides hands-on care and support services for adult residents at our spacious care center in Minneapolis, MN, near beautiful Cedar Lake in a residential neighborhood. This patient support position includes 30.4 hours every two weeks, an overnight shift, and requires working every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holidays. Requirements

  • Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date
  • Individual who is hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer’s Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry

  • Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant
  • Work experience in a customer service setting

Responsibilities

  • Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
  • Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
  • AM/PM/NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care
  • May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
  • Chart or document in electronic medical record system
  • Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
  • Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
  • Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner
