About The Position

We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility- Ebenezer Ridges Care Center! This role provides hands on care and support services for our senior residents at our spacious care center in Burnsville, MN. This patient support position includes casual hours and a flexible schedule. To maintain Casual status, employees must be willing to be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month (two shifts must be weekend shifts) and one (1) Holiday shift per year. Ebenezer Ridges Care Center highlights a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Intergenerational Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN. Requirements

  • Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date.
  • Individual who is hired into Ebenezer's Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer's Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

  • Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant.
  • Work experience in a customer service setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights.
  • Check and record vitals AM/PM/NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care.
  • May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Chart or document in electronic medical record system.
  • Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns.
  • Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift.
  • Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner.
