About The Position

Watertown Regional Medical Center, Sr. Behavioral Health Unit, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the role of Mental Health Technician (MHT). Will be responsible to assist with nursing care of the patient, within the Sr. Behavioral Health unit. Working under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, will perform basic nursing care, assist patients with activities of daily living, maintain a safe and therapeutic environment and assist in the admission, provision of care, discharge and transfer of patients. Care is provided based on individual treatment plan with specific attention to the age and developmental stage of the patient, cultural factors, level of functioning, mental status, medical issues and family/living environment affecting treatment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum requirement of current CNA, EMT or LPN certification/license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursing care of the patient within the Sr. Behavioral Health unit.
