Requirements

Experience: At least two years of caregiving experience and a valid HHA or CNA in the state of Indiana.
Compassion: A genuine love for spending time with seniors and making them smile.
Skills: Ability to assist with personal care, daily living activities, companionship, and engagement.
Dependability: Have reliable transportation and show up to all assigned shifts on time. Must also always maintain a neat appearance and follow Story Cottage Living’s dress code
Professionalism: Ability to deal tactfully, show patience, maintain a cheerful disposition, show enthusiasm with residents, family members, visitors, outside agencies, and other employees, and demonstrate a willingness to handle difficult individuals, situations, etc.

Responsibilities

Encourage the resident to be active and participate in daily living activities
Helping with Activities of Daily Living
Attend staff training as required
Dependable transportation
Ability to deal tactfully, show patience, maintain a cheerful disposition, show enthusiasm with residents, family members, visitors, outside agencies, and other employees, and demonstrate a willingness to handle difficult individuals, situations, etc.
Must maintain a neat appearance and follow Story Cottage Living’s dress code
