CNA - Memory Care Cottage - Northside Indy - PRN Staffing Pool
About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide to join our Story Cottage team as PRN staffing pool employees, to be utilized on a call-off (as-needed) basis. This role is specifically for call-off coverage only, and PRN staffing employees are only used when a scheduled shift becomes available due to a call-off. PRN staffing pool employees must be able to pick up shifts on a moment’s notice, commit to at least one shift per week, and understand that failure to pick up at least one shift per week will result in removal from the PRN employee staffing pool. If a PRN employee staffing pool CNA/HHA later requests more regular or guaranteed shifts, they will be moved to a non-PRN pool status and will receive a different pay rate based on that position. Requirements
- At least two years of caregiving experience and a valid CNA in the state of Indiana.
- A genuine love for spending time with seniors and making them smile.
- Ability to assist with personal care, daily living activities, companionship, and engagement.
- Have reliable transportation and show up to all assigned shifts on time. Must also always maintain a neat appearance and follow Story Cottage Living’s dress code
- Ability to deal tactfully, show patience, maintain a cheerful disposition, show enthusiasm with residents, family members, visitors, outside agencies, and other employees, and demonstrate a willingness to handle difficult individuals, situations, etc.
Responsibilities
- Encourage the resident to be active and participate in daily living activities
- Helping with Activities of Daily Living
- Attend staff training as required
- Dependable transportation
- Ability to deal tactfully, show patience, maintain a cheerful disposition, show enthusiasm with residents, family members, visitors, outside agencies, and other employees, and demonstrate a willingness to handle difficult individuals, situations, etc.
