About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a strong Med/Surg background for a 13-week night shift contract in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting nursing staff in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CNA experience in a Med/Surg setting .
• Active CNA License (New York State) .
• Current BLS or CPR certification .
• Experience taking and documenting vital signs.
• Experience rooming patients.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor and accurately document vital signs.
• Support patient mobility, including ambulation and transfers.
• Room patients and assist with admissions and discharges as needed.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
• Document patient information in accordance with facility policies.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team.
• Assist nurses with clinical and non-clinical tasks to ensure continuity of care.
