About The Position
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients. This includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. The role also involves recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Requirements
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED Experience
- 6 months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- 6 months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
