Position Summary Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and accountable to the licensed nursing staff members, the CNA assists in providing patient care, and maintaining records and a clean environment. Essential Functions - Provides care appropriate to the age of the population served. -Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of human growth and development. - Provides proper personal hygiene and care to all patients. -Accurately measures and records vital signs, weights and heights, and intake/output. -Recognizes abnormal findings and reports such findings appropriately. -Demonstrates knowledge of proper transfer techniques. -Consistently provides preventative skin care measures and reports abnormalities to nursing staff. - Provides meal assistance to patients as needed. -Properly collects specimens as directed. -Utilizes special beds appropriately and triggers alarms on all “high risk for falls” patients. -Keep patient rooms neat and tidy. -Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives. - Will act as safety sitter as needed. -Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled. -Per forms other duties as assigned. -Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure. -Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
