Shift Monday - Friday, Days Scheduled Weekly Hours 36 POSITION PURPOSE: Provides basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the office physician. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains patient documentation, entering in EMR if applicable. Gathers patient data and vital signs, and documents in chart or EMR if applicable. Schedules patient appointments and referrals and performs filing, as needed, for office. Communicates pertinent information regarding patient’s progress and needs to the physician; enters such information into the EMR if applicable. May perform duties of a scribe. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS: H.S. Diploma or equivalent required. Current CNA certification required. Must be active as a CNA on the IL Health Care Worker Registry. BLS Required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment at CGH. Experience in an acute care setting preferred. May chart on behalf of the provider when in the exam room. Chart note to include name, title, date and time of the entry. Chart must then be signed off on by the provider. Basic computer knowledge preferred. Demonstrates competencies in nursing assistant skills based on current scientific knowledge.Demonstrates knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients served in the physician office. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient population served. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
Current CNA certification required.
