About The Position

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) position at Brendan House involves providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction and supervision of assigned leadership. The role is integral to delivering quality, passionate care, aligning with the organization's mission to reimagine health care through connection, service, and innovation. The CNA will assist in various patient care tasks, maintain patient privacy, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Current Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate required.
  • Current CPR certification required as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Previous work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Home Health Aide certification preferred or must successfully obtain within six (6) months of hire.
  • Possess an understanding of confidentiality laws governing the provider-patient relationship, including HIPAA guidelines.
  • Current Driver's License required for the Driver portion of the position.
  • Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter, possess critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Additional certifications related to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers and assists in the delivery of basic patient care under the guidance and direction of assigned leadership.
  • Communicates with assigned leadership to coordinate workloads and patient priorities.
  • Performs accurate CNA assessments while taking patients' vital signs and informs appropriate stakeholders of any abnormal vital signs or changes in the patient's condition.
  • Maintains patient privacy as defined by Logan Health policies and procedures.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living.
  • Accurately and timely documents the care rendered to the patient.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory, restocking of rooms, and maintaining equipment for safety and cleanliness.
  • Assists with maintaining compliance with Medicare and all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Works with appropriate stakeholders to set and maintain priorities for patient care tasks.
  • Assists in administrative duties and day-to-day operations as applicable.
