About The Position

The CNA - Inpatient Rehab position at PeaceHealth involves assisting professional nursing personnel in providing quality patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Requirements

  • Accredited Program Required: Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care facility preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development to meet each patient's needs.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant - Oregon required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing direct patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse within the scope of the CNA licensure.
  • Perform basic technical skills such as CPR, taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording fluid intake/output, applying dressings, and administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.
  • Assist patients with personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting assistance, and hydration.
  • Provide assistance to patients in walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
  • Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs.
  • Document relevant patient care data accurately.
  • May provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, and answering telephones.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
