Why This Role Matters As a Hospice CNA, you are often the person patients and families see the most. You will: Provide personal, hands-on care in patients’ homes Help patients maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life Support families during emotional and meaningful moments Be the eyes and ears of the care team, identifying changes in condition Help patients remain safely and comfortably at home Your presence makes a difference patients and families will never forget. What You’ll Be Doing Providing personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene) Assisting with mobility and range of motion exercises Taking and recording vital signs Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment Reporting changes in condition to the nurse or case manager Supporting patients and families with compassion and respect What Helps You Succeed Current Oregon CNA license CPR Certification Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong communication and observation skills Ability to work independently in the field
