About The Position
At Spoon River Home Health, we’re looking for someone compassionate, dependable, and kindhearted—someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of others. Strong time management and a positive attitude are a must. Overnight availability is especially needed for this position. Daytime hours are also available, but candidates who can reliably work nights will be prioritized.
Requirements
- Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform physical care tasks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily
- Kind, patient, and dependable
- Willing and able to work overnight shifts (daytime hours also available)
- Willing to follow health and safety standards
- High school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled (CNA or CNA program a plus)
- Dedicated to providing high-quality care
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year experience in home care, healthcare, or hospitality preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene needs (bathing, dressing, eating, etc.)
- Provide medication reminders
- Help with mobility and safe movement
- Plan and prepare meals
- Support with therapy exercises
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Respond responsibly in emergencies and report any concerns
- Offer companionship and engaging activities to enhance quality of life
- Enjoy one-on-one care and opportunities to learn and grow
