About The Position

The CNA Home Health Aide position is based in New Haven, Connecticut, specifically covering the Masonicare Home Health & Hospice territory, which includes East Haven, West Haven, and Branford. This role requires a commitment of 30 hours weekly and offers a sign-on bonus of $500.00 for home health aide positions (non per diem). The position necessitates reliable transportation and flexible daytime availability, as care will be provided in various settings including homes, apartments, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. The role includes both short (1-2 hours) and long cases (3 hours +).

Requirements

• CNA Certification and License.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Proof of auto insurance.
• Previous caregiving experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair/skin care, and feeding.
• Assist with medication management by reminding clients to take medication as needed.
• Assist clients with exercises, ambulation, and transfer activities.
• Perform household services essential to a clean, safe, and healthy environment, including meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping.
• Provide basic emotional and psychological support to clients and other household members.
• Assist clients to physician, clinic, or other appointments.
• Accompany patients on walks and to social functions.
• Observe any changes in clients' abilities and/or needs for safety issues and notify the agency as appropriate.
• Document care/activities provided as per agency policy.
