CNA/HHA Senior Caregiver (Dog-Friendly)
About The Position
CompassCare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Caregiver to provide high-quality, one-on-one care for an elderly client in their private home. The ideal candidate must be dependable, patient, and comfortable working in a home environment where dogs are present. This position requires someone who is not only comfortable around pets, but who genuinely enjoys being around them, as the client has dogs in the home. Who We Are: CompassCare is a private duty home care company that specializes in concierge services. We believe that most people would prefer to live independently at home as they grow older. Our client care is provided by a full care team, to ensure that we are delighting the client every time. Our focus is on providing top level care for our clients while also providing full 24/7 support for our caregivers. Open positions: Full-time, part-time, live-in, daytime hourly and overnight hourly shifts available. Locations: Manhattan; Brooklyn; Westchester County, NY; Fairfield County, CT; and surrounding areas. Our caregivers work in partnership with the CompassCare Client Team and Office Staff to provide the best possible care for each client.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the US
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- At least one year of experience in Home Care with the Elderly (One-On-One care)
- Well-spoken, with strong communication skills and excellent client service skills
- HHA, CNA, PCA, or PCT Certification
- CPR Certification preferred; must be willing to be certified before starting to work on a case
- Kind, Optimistic, Curious, Empathetic, Dependable and professional
- Passionate about working with older adults

Responsibilities
- Provide concierge level care, including enrichment activities, outings, and more
- Provide companionship and engagement
- Provide light housekeeping & meal preparation
- Follow a detailed care plan
- Complete reporting to be shared with the Care Team
- Assist with personal care
- Provide transportation and accompany client to appointments
