About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Cherokee Rose Nursing & Rehab involves providing essential care to elderly and handicapped residents. Requirements

• Nursing Assistant Certification from the state.
• Ability to record information and perform technical procedures.
• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
• Genuine care for and interest in elderly and handicapped people.
• Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
• Ability to comply with company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a nursing or rehabilitation facility.
• Additional certifications related to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for personal care including grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing of residents.
• Observe residents and report any conditions requiring management attention.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, measurements, intake and output, and food consumption as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position patients to ensure comfort and prevent bedsores.
• Perform range of motion exercises and reality orientation with residents as directed.
