About The Position
Pomperaug Woods is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our extraordinary team. Located in Southbury, CT, our facility is a vibrant community where friendly residents and kind staff create a joyful atmosphere. As a CNA at Pomperaug Woods, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with the life stories of our senior residents, providing them with the care and support they need. This full-time position requires working weekdays from 6:30 am to 3 pm, with every other weekend included. In this role, you will be responsible for providing individualized care to residents according to their specific care plans and facility policies. Your daily tasks will include assisting residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, and positioning. You will also be responsible for administering treatments, performing tests, and collecting specimens as instructed. Monitoring residents' health and reporting any changes to the charge nurse is crucial, as is maintaining a clean and orderly environment for the residents. You will be expected to model and promote the Pomperaug Woods CARES philosophy, which emphasizes a homelike environment and individualized care. We are looking for a hospitality-focused CNA who embodies our culture of warmth and respect. You will be part of a team that greets residents, employees, and guests with a smile and treats everyone with courtesy.
