As a CNA Float Pool at MercyOne, you will be a member of MercyOne Clinton Medical Center's healthcare team and is under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse. The nurse assistant provides quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care by assisting the patient with activities of daily living, as well as other physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The nurse assistant provides care consistent with the mission of MercyOne Clinton, vision of patient care services, evidence-based standard of care and established policies and procedures. Function in an assistive role under the supervision of the Registered Nurse retaining accountability for one's own actions and behaviors. Assist in the physical management of patient: feeding, hygiene, bed making and ambulation. Provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to the patient population with respect to age specific and culturally sensitive needs as described in the department's scope of service. Record and report information such as vital signs, intake and output, weight, and any behavioral changes appropriate supervisory personnel. Collect specimens and perform diagnostic procedures as directed (UA, BGM, VS, I&O, etc.) Provide care and prevention necessary to keep patient safe. Demonstrate a caring practice by respecting the rights of an individual or group.
